Calipari: Jemarl Baker will be out three months after knee surgery
Breaking news from John Calipari’s postgame press conference: freshman guard Jemarl Baker will be out three months after having his left knee scoped on Friday.
“They scoped it again so he’s going to be out probably three months. So, he’ll be out.”
As for Jarred Vanderbilt, Calipari said they now have a timetable for his return, but didn’t share it with reporters.
“Jarred, I met with him and the doctor today. We’re on a timetable. Some conditioning, work with Kenny [Payne], and start practicing and then see where we are. There’s a good timetable now for him. It’s not just by chance, happenstance. We know and if we have to move it a little bit, we can. But let’s start for a timetable. Would be nice to have one more guy.”
Get well soon, guys.
