Former Barney back-up singer, Disney Channel ingenue, Selena Gomez confidant and occasional Wilmer Valderrama booty call Demi Lovato would like to change your life with her amazing writing. Lovato has just inked a book deal with publisher Macmillan to write two books, just to make you feel even sadder about that half-finished novel you’ve been working so hard on for two years that will never be published.
One of the 21 year-old Lovato’s sure-to-be award-winning books will be a personal memoir, presumably detailing groundbreaking prose about how Britney Spears loves potato soup and strawberries, or how Joe Jonas is just the cutie-cutest. This expensive publishing advance shouldn’t surprise you, especially since publishers love to give Hollywood people book deals (don’t even get me started on Lena Dunham’s 3.7 million dollar book deal just for being snarky, frumpy and “bravely” naked, or I’ll just ruin your lovely party).
But the other book — oh, that’s the one you’re really gonna want in hardback. Lovato’s first book, before her memoir, is slated to be a 365-day book of “inspirational messages” based on her tweets. This will be good news to you because it will undoubtedly save you the large amount of time you spend each day thumbing through Demi Lovato’s tweets for just the right one to get you through the day.
