Kentucky Track and Field has successful season opener at Hoosier Open

The Kentucky Track and Field team’s started their 2014-2015 campaign Friday at the Hoosier Open in Bloomington, Indiana. Four Wildcats were able to win their events:
- Sha’Keela Saunders won the long jump with a personal record 5.5-inch.
- Leah Nugent ran an impressive time of 7.29 to win the 60m hurdles.
- Dezerea Bryant won the 300m with a time of 37.60. Her teammate Kendra Harrison finished 2nd.
- Making her Kentucky debut, transfer Javianne Oliver won the 60m dash with a time of 7.45
Kentucky has started the season well, but will look to build off their early success when they host the Kentucky Invitational on January 16-17th.
