The NBA trade season is upon us.
During the middle of the Kentucky-Arkansas matchup down in Fayetteville, former Wildcat Wenyen Gabriel was traded from the Sacramento Kings to the Portland Trail Blazers as a part of a multi-player deal, according to several sources.

Gabriel has been a member of the Kings organization ever since he played for their Summer League team after going undrafted in 2018. He spent all of last season shifting up-and-down from the G League to the NBA on a two-way contract, but never officially played in an NBA until this year.
In just 11 appearances thus far, Gabriel has averaged 1.7 points and 0.9 rebounds playing under six minutes per game. Prior to the season, Sacramento converted his contract into a standard deal. Current restrictions on his deal will hold the trade from completion until Jan. 21.
It also sounds like Gabriel found out the trade everyone else did, too – via Twitter.
