WATCH: Julius Randle’s son forgets he’s playing basketball, tackles teammate

We are all Julius Randle’s son when playing with a teammate who never wants to pass the ball.

Randle recorded a video of his son, Kyden, tackling his teammate during a game of youth basketball and it’s easily the most adorable thing you will see all day long. Take a look.

There is just so much going on here that brings a much-needed smile to my face. Randle’s son immediately jumping into his dad’s arms after he realizes he did something wrong; Julius in the background yelling “Ky! Ky! Ky! He’s your teammate, baby!” as he watches his son execute a perfect takedown move; the referee blowing his whistle mid-tackle, wondering whether or not he should call an offensive foul. To be fair, No. 10 was holding onto the ball for a long time and had two defenders on him–taking him down was the only fair response.

I am eagerly awaiting the day that I can watch my kids play youth sports, but more so for the idea that I will hopefully record a moment like this of my own.
