Last night, John Wall and the Washington Wizards embarrassed the Indiana Pacers 102-79 in Bankers Life Fieldhouse, led by Wall’s 27 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds, as well as Polish big man Marcin Gortat’s 31 points and 16 boards.

Wall, who had shot a combined 16-51 (.314) from the field in the series’ first four games, finally regained his shooting touch and connected on 11-20 (.550) from the floor. After blowing a 19-point lead in Game 4, the Wizards avoided elimination tonight in Game 5’s must-win road situation. The Pacers now lead the series 3-2.

After watching John Wall & Co. cruise past the Hoosiers at Assembly Hall in college [LINK], it’s no surprise the 2010 SEC Player of the Year found repeated success in the state of Indiana. Catch full highlights of last night’s John Wall Show below:

why does that ball look flat?

Haha that’s what makes the ball bounce. When the ball hits the floor the air molecules inside the ball contract 9making the ball looks flat) and then expand (making the ball bounce back up). The more air you have the more force pushes the ball back up and vice versa.

    Congrats, Jimmy. Keep it up.

What was the UK b’ball news Matt said he was going to give us? I had to run into a meeting and missed the last 25 minutes or so of the show.

I love John Wall but he can not close out games. Brad Beal is the best player on that team. Wall usually puts up good numbers but makes a lot of dumb mistakes. Beal is a constant and go to for that team. I see a young D-Wade in Beal, except Beal is by far a better shooter.

    • really?

Close out games? Like totally screwing the inbounds in the game prior to this one? Stop letting the scoring blind you – Beal is a great player, but this team is nothing without Wall.

You probably thought Siva > Wall, too….. Lol, and we know… lol….. how that turned out….. lol.

Did you write the post today or last night? Says “Last night, John Wall and the Washington Wizards…” but then says “After blowing a 19-point lead in Game 4, the Wizards avoided elimination tonight in Game 5′s must-win road situation.”
