We were all a little disappointed to see Tyler Ulis slip to the second round, but the Phoenix Suns are doing their best to make sure Tyler knows he’s a valued member of the franchise. According to Paul Coro of The Arizona Republic, Ulis will be given a guaranteed two-year contract that will pay him the same amount as a late first-rounder, so around $1 million to start. Normally, only first round picks get guaranteed deals.
While the Suns’ roster is guard heavy, there’s still talk they may part ways with Brandon Knight or Eric Bledsoe, or, if they choose to keep both, veteran backup Ronnie Price.
For now, it’s just good to see Tyler get the pay day he deserves.
