Towns donated his new car to charity because of course he did

Further proving that Karl-Anthony Towns is the nicest human being on the planet, Towns donated his new Kia, a gift to the Rookie of the Year, to a local charity.  The Minnesota Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will receive a brand new Kia Sorento CUV courtesy of Towns.

You won’t find a better person than Karl. Can’t do it.

He’s pretty good at the basketball thing, too.

Towns’ press conference is streaming live here.

Great gesture. Also, who wants to have to pay $10k in income tax for receiving a Kia Sorento they’ll never drive?

how bad of a look would it be for the charity to re-gift the kia? guess they’re stuck with it

Don’t think of that as “re-gifting”….call it a awesome unexpected gesture of kindness! Raffles are often done with these kind of acts of awesomeness!

Sad but true, Kia’s are junk. But that doesn’t cheapen Townes gesture.

Kia’s are not junk until they cross 100k, they are cost efficient before that point 🙂

Kias are actually pretty cool cars. Surprisingly low maintenance.

But in this case, KAT probably wouldn’t even fit inside it. 🙂

What’s up with that picture of Towns? Was he pushing the table over a little? The whole pic looks like it’s just a little bit off.

Very nice gesture but, how is a KIA gonna help leukemia patients?

I’m sure it’s loaded, so it’s probably close to $40,000, so I’m sure they can sell it or raffle it off for a pretty good amount.
