Even though the game didn’t end in favor of the Minnesota Timberwolves yesterday, former Wildcat Karl-Anthony Towns was a one-man dominant force ending the game with 33 points and 14 rebounds.
In a 112-92 loss to the Oklahoma Thunder, it was noted that one major cause of Minnesota’s inability to win is the lack of depth on the Timberwolves roster. It’s a young team with some growing to do, and maybe veteran Towns is the guy to look to.
Towns showed out against two big men for the Thunder, including former Cat Enes Kanter. He was only one of two Timberwolves to score in double figures. He finished with a field goal percentage of 65% compared to his team’s 31%.
