The Timberwolves mascot injured Karl Towns’ dad last night


Karl Towns Sr. is probably the nicest man you’ll ever meet, but last night, he was on the bad end of a stunt by Crunch, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ mascot. Part of Crunch’s regular routine is riding a sled down the stairs at the arena during timeouts, and according to Timberwolves beat writer Jon Krawczynski, he collided with Karl’s dad last night, injuring his knees. Karl Sr. left the arena on crutches, and will apparently require an MRI to determine the damage.
