Rockets waive Chuck Hayes

According to Yahoo Sports, the Houston Rockets have waived Chuck Hayes. The former Cat was waived in order to make room for another former Cat, Terrence Jones. Jones was out with a lacerated eyelid, but is set to return Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports:

As injuries impact the Rockets’ roster, Hayes could be a veteran who returns to the team again this season. Hayes, 32, played his first six NBA seasons for the Rockets and remains a favorite of the organization. Hayes could ultimately retire into a coaching staff role with the team, but is focused on continuing his playing career this season, sources said.

Wishing all the best to Chuck and his future.

Chuck is going to have a long career in the front office (or on the bench) hope he gets picked up this season.
