Got five or ten minutes to spare this morning? Of course you do. It’s Friday. Whatever you’re supposed to be doing, you’re not doing it anyway. So why don’t you head on over to Bleacher Report and read its excellent piece on Nerlens Noel.

Jared Zwerling, Bleacher Report’s NBA writer, churned out a lot of words about Nerlens Noel, his recovery, and what it was like watching childhood friend and Sixers teammate Michael Carter-Williams run the point without him on the floor in Philadelphia this season. Nerlens told Zwerling he could see himself out there catching lobs from Michael Carter-Williams, and the pain of missing out only made him work harder during his recovery.

Zwerling also gives us a look into Noel’s relationship with first-time head coach Brett Brown and how Brown goes above and beyond what most coaches do for a player. Brown is mentoring Noel and rebuilding his shooting form, all while coaching the entire team. “I’m really lucky and thankful to have a coach like Brett Brown,” Noel said.

I’ll shut up now so you can get over there and read it yourself. It’s really good.

Nerlens is the man.

I remember being at a party in Sept-Oct of Nerlens first semester at UK. It was at the fixer’s house who hosts UK bball players – basically brings girls and booze to them at a off campus locale. Anywho, this drunk girl was bad talking Nerlens, he was upstairs playing video games, he came down and said some pretty awful things back to her and then dumped a bucket of mop water on her head. At that moment I thought Nerlens would be a headache for UK, but that really hasn’t turned out to be the case. Combination of maturity, sobriety, and not getting caught?

Hey would you give Thameltoe a ringy-dingy? This is just the kind of “factual” anecdote he delights in.

Drew, don’t act like that only took you five to ten minutes to read

If we have “fixers” serving up booze and women off campus for the UK Basketball Players, I am glad you posted that so coach Cal can crack some skulls. We don’t need anymore Eddie Sutton or past shenanigans at the University of Kentucky. I would hope our guys would have more common sense than to go to any “fixers” homes.

It’s not a party without a bucket of mop water just lying around.

I wish I had chosen a better fake name. The name I chose is almost as fake as my b.s. story.
