Need a reason to stay up past your bedtime? This one should work, if you have NBA TV.
Coming up at 11 p.m., two of the stars from the first night of the NBA summer league will go head-to-head, and it just so happens that both are former Kentucky Wildcats.
Wenyen Gabriel’s Sacramento squad is all set to host Tyler Herro’s Miami team in Herro’s second career summer game with the Heat. On Monday, Gabriel was a force for the Kings in the California Classic, scoring 22 points with 12 rebounds for a double-double. Gabriel led all summer leaguers in points and rebounds in Night 1. Herro also played well Monday night, tallying 18 points with five made 3-pointers and four assists.
They will tip off to do it all again, this time against one another, at 11 p.m. on NBA TV.
I’m going to try to stay up to watch it all but I probably won’t make it to halftime because I am old.
