Six BBNBA members were on the floor at one time tonight

If any Kentucky basketball fans watched the New Orleans Pelicans game against the Oklahoma City Thunder this evening, you witnessed something pretty darn remarkable.

At one point in time, SIX former Wildcats were on the floor at the same time. Yes, SIX.

For the Pelicans, Anthony Davis, Julius Randle, and Darius Miller were all on the floor, while Patrick Patterson, Nerlens Noel, and Hamidou Diallo each suited up for the Thunder.

For those keeping track at home, that’s over $169,000,000 combined in BBNBA members alone.

That’s six of John Calipari’s nine years at Kentucky represented at one time, with Patterson playing in 2010, Miller playing in 2011 (though he played since 2008), Davis in 2012, Noel in 2013, Randle in 2014, and Diallo in 2018.

And that’s not even counting Andrew Harrison, who is also on the Pelicans right now and would’ve gladly represented the 2015 squad in that statistic. When he entered the game with Davis, Randle, and Miller, however, some of the Wildcat players on the Thunder exited the game. Could’ve been seven.

The Kentucky head coach tweeted about the moment a little after it happened.

“I heard we had SIX guys — Anthony Davis, Julius Randle, Darius Miller, Patrick Patterson, Nerlens Noel, and Hamidou Diallo — on the court at the same time tonight during the Pelicans and OKC Thunder game,” he said. “CRAZY!!! Proud father right here.”

Crazy is right.

Cool glad to see them doing good in the NBA but I and the rest of BBN want a title.

Six guys but only 11 total years in a UK uniform. Miller/Patt=7 years, the rest=4. Meh.

I’ll relay that to Davis and Miller and see what they can do.

I’m not sure how you’ve not caught on to this after all these years, but good players want to play in the NBA, so if you highlight how many guys you’ve sent to the NBA, UK looks more attractive to a HS recruit. Cal is just recruiting, and KSR is promoting those players to the fan base, because it’s cool to know that you’ll have lifelong fans after you leave a school.

Well… I was raised a Kentucky Fan, and college basketball fan, and LOVE this time of year!
However… I HATE the NBA game, and it kills me the NCAA has allowed the pure College Game to morph into the D league for NBA basketball!

I must confess, briefly watching the Pelicans and Thunder play tonight was tolerable once the KENTUCKY ALUM got on that floor together!
But after that! Zzzzz zzzzz zzzxx

Hey Pilgrim? Did you sleep during this game or what? You write
“For the Pelicans, Anthony Davis, Julius Randle, and Darius Miller were all on the floor, while Patrick Patterson, Nerlens Noel, and Hamidou Diallo each suited up for the Thunder.”

You missed a HARRISON TWIN out there too! SEVEN! ?

Think you need to learn to read, not Jack learn how to write.

This one never reads articles, just the headlines to find an angle to complain about.

The article literally says that Harrison was on the bench, but entered the game after several BBNBA players left.

He’s referring to the 6 that were out there all at the same time. I don’t think all seven were ever in the game at the same time. He mentions Andrew later in the post.

This is the sort of thing that’s causing Quade to transfer, and possibly why top players aren’t coming to UK. Glorifying the NBA and putting it in his head that he doesn’t fit in here because he wasn’t a one-and-done. And that after the first year, chances are you’ll get recruited over and lose minutes to incoming freshmen.

Of the 7 guys mentioned only 4 were even one and dones…

One way to avoid being recruited over – outplay other guys. Play D. Hustle. Earn it. WCS – never recruited over.

UK fans are miserable. They want 12 All-Americans who stick around 4 years and sacrifice millions for the fan base’s reflected glory.

Question? How many of our fans would pass up new jobs that would double their salaries? Especially if those were their dreams?

That was the second greatest night in Kentucky Basketball HISTORY right there!! I bet cal was creaming his pants the whole time!

I wonder if cal will mention how much money his “sons” were making in that game???
