Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is playing like a ten-year veteran in his first career playoff series as the rookie finished Game 4 as the team’s leading scorer with 25 points.
In 31 minutes of action the former Kentucky point guard scored 25 points on 9-15 shooting which included 3-5 from long range. The performance sets a Clippers franchise record for most points scored by a rookie in a playoff game.
The fearlessness that Gilgeous-Alexander played with is something to marvel at, especially considering the match up against the back to back defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors.
Unfortunately, the Clippers dropped their 2nd straight at home as the Warriors were able to squeak by with a 113-105 victory. Golden State now leads the series 3-1 with a chance to close out at home on Wednesday.
Looking ahead there’s no doubt that Gilgeous-Alexander’s play down the stretch will play a role in making the Clippers an intriguing free-agency destination this summer.
