Real Recognize Real: LeBron James and Devin Booker

We all knew Devin Booker could be great.  His rookie season validated the BBN’s beliefs.  Booker’s exceptional first year also caught the eyes from his peers around the league.

I’m sure Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were looking over their shoulders in the Three-Point Contest.  They couldn’t ignore him.  LeBron James could, but he hasn’t.

After participating in Team USA’s training camp, LeBron James is convinced Booker will be a perennial All-Star for the Suns.  Here’s what King James said about D-Book in the 90-minute Uninterrupted podcast:

“That no one knows about? You know, what? I’m going to be honest. If it’s someone who is under the radar right now that I believe is going to be a really, really, really good, All-Star player in the league — it’s Devin Booker from the Phoenix Suns.”

The praise doesn’t get much better, especially when you get it from a guy who you (kinda) punched in the face.

The announcer in the video is great, “yeah yeah he didn’t go for the ball”. Booker’s right hand is all ball. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I understand bron’s umbrage, but that was clearly a play on the ball. I’d be pissed too, though, if someone mussed my 100K hairplugs.

Booker was going for the ball, but his left elbow hit Lebron in the face…it was incidental, but I’m sure it hurt, and I don’t blame him for being mad.
