Rajon Rondo out indefinitely with fractured thumb

Well, here’s some news I didn’t expect to see this morning. The Chicago Bulls just announced that Rajon Rondo is out indefinitely with a thumb fracture. The injury won’t require surgery, but comes in the middle of the Bulls’ first round series vs. the Boston Celtics, game three of which will take place tonight at 7 p.m.

Rondo suffered the injury during game two of the series on Tuesday night, but you wouldn’t have known it judging by his performance. Rondo had 14 assists in Chicago’s 111-97 win over Boston, looking like the Rondo of old:

Get well soon.
