Quincy Acy punched John Wall on Christmas

John Wall lit up Madison Square Garden for 24 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and a steal in Washington’s win over the Knicks, but it’s a punch he avoided that is making Christmas day headlines this afternoon.

For whatever reason — maybe Wall forgot to get him a gift — Quincy Acy ran at the former Wildcat with a hard foul and followed it up with a punch. Acy, who is not about that life, missed with his right hook but was still awarded an ejection from the game.

Maybe Acy was upset over Wall’s 360-layup earlier in the game.

He’s probably still upset that we wiped the floor with his Baylor team on the way to #8 even though Wall wasn’t on that team.

BTW, even though it would have been better if Wall had kept his cool and not retaliated, did you notice how after Acy had already cheap-shotted him he took a step forward to stand over him as if to say “Whatcha gonna do about it?” Then he acts like Wall started it. Hey, if you’re gonna lay one on somebody at least own it.

And you know this how??? Maybe because outside the ones you supported on your favorite team…they all look the same to you right? You sound like every Republican friend I have!

A punk, ghetto ass thug swings on people and starts running his mouth like he is that baddest dude alive when 3 people clearly are holding him back. And I’m far from a Republican. And If I offended you ………Get The F Over It!

Does anyone else just “love” it when announcers start arguing about whether it’s technically a punch because it does or doesn’t connect or is an elbow instead of a fist?

The announcers did it here and they did it with Harrell in the UL game. There’s a big difference between shoving someone in the chest and swinging your first/forearm above the shoulders. When someone shoves you and you respond by going for their face, in my book it’s a “punch” whether you connect or not.

I agree. A forearm shiver is just as deadly as a fist. Both Harrell and Acy balled up their fist but ended up leading with the elbow. The one studio analyst (Amin??) was giving Wall grief for ‘not controlling’ his emotions. If he had laid on the floor they would have given him grief for allowing himself to be pushed around.
Wall finally earning some respect in the league…’bout time !

That layup was flat out SICK !!

Best part about that layup? When I heard he did a 360 I assumed he was wide open on a breakaway (still cool). But the fact that he did it in traffic AND that it was the perfect move to confuse the defender makes it better. Awesome, just awesome.

Why bother to alter the results of their poll? They’re entitled to their delusions.

Hilarious … UVA better concentrate on what they are going to do against Louisville, Duke and UNC and try to get better than a 4 seed before they try to take on the best. Their signature win this season is #21 Maryland by 11 and they let that lousy team score 65 on them.
