Pelicans and Kings to play in Rupp on October 17

That rumored Pelicans-Kings exhibition game in Rupp Arena is now officially official with a date set for the day after Big Blue Madness. The preseason game will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. on October 17.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity to play at Rupp Arena again in front of the Big Blue Nation,” Anthony Davis said in the release. “I always look forward to going back to Kentucky and visiting with the players, coaches and fans.”

Willie Cauley-Stein added, “I’m excited for the opportunity to play in Lexington with my Kings teammates.  Rupp Arena is the home of many great memories for me and it’s a unique opportunity to experience it as a professional for the Big Blue Nation fans that made my time as a Wildcat so memorable.”

Tickets range in price from $10 – $250 and go on sale to the public Friday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. They can be purchased at the Rupp Arena box office, Ticketmaster.com or RuppArena.com, or by calling Ticket Master at 800-745-3000.

    I went to the last Pelicans exhibition game at Rupp, and it was mainly to get the guys who rarely played some PT, but AD did play some. It was still a great experience.
