It came down to the final second, but Patrick Patterson, Chuck Hayes, and the rest of the Toronto Raptors’ season ended in disappointment. After a late fourth quarter surge (and an incredible defensive play from Raptors forward Terrence Ross), Kyle Lowry’s attempt at a game-winning drive was cut short by Brooklyn Nets Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. Even though the Raptors lost 103-104, former Kentucky Wildcat Patrick Patterson played his best game of the entire series. The Huntington, WV native recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist while shooting a perfect 5-5 from the floor and 6-6 from the free throw line. Pat’s Toronto teammate Chuck Hayes scored 2 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, distributed 1 assist, and recorded 1 steal in 9 minutes off the bench.

If Lowry would have passed the ball Patterson could’ve had a layup to win it…

The NBA is all about the evolution of a team. Teams just now making the playoffs in along time don’t usually go on deep runs against the guys that have been there for awhile.

Charlotte and Toronto should be better next year now that they know what to expect in the playoffs. Wizards and Portland I want to go far but I don’t know that they will. Nene hit the youth button and is beasting it for the Wiz though, and Aldridge is playing out of his mind. So could be wrong here.
