Nerlens Noel adamantly denies trashing rental home

Nerlens Noel was dubbed the “renter from hell” and hit with a $40,000 lawsuit after he was accused of destroying a Philadelphia home he had been renting last year. The owners alleged he completely trashed the 4,800 square foot home, with damages ranging from severely clogged toilets to a broken elevator and costly damages to the carpets and appliances. The owners also believe Noel is behind a tombstone showing up at their doorstep the day after they asked for compensation for the damages.

Noel is now adamantly denying the destruction in legal documents of his own, according to TMZ. The TMZ exclusive reports Noel claims he offered to help repair the carpet even though he doesn’t believe he played a role in damaging it.

Noel also insists the tombstone was a leftover Halloween direction, not a threat.

He wants the entire thing dropped.

That’s “destroying?” I mean, it’s more than normal wear and tear, but come on. Nerlens even offered to help repair the carpet? Just pay these people for the damages (no way it’s $40k) and be done with it. Buy your next one, so the owner doesn’t try to take advantage of you when they find out you’re an NBA player.

If damages are done while you are renting, you are responsible whether you actually did it or not. If he’s saying that his “friends” did it then maybe he should surround himself with better people
