NBA Cats had a Pretty Good Preseason

OK I get it, that’s an obvious headline, but let me break it down for you.

First things first, Anthony Davis learned how to shoot 3s.  He was 53.8% from behind the arc, taking more shots from deep (7/13), but not going away from his bread and butter.  Davis finished the preseason second in points (23.5) and rebounding (9.7), and third in blocks (2.3).

Four other Cats made the NBA preseason leaderboard.  John Wall was first in assists with 8.5 a game, Enes Kanter was 3rd in field goal percentage at 70.6%, Nerlens Noel led the league in steals with 3.2 a game, with DeMarcus Cousins not far behind at fourth with 2.2 per game.

Opening night of the NBA on ESPN is Wednesday, with Julius Randle’s Lakers taking on Karl Towns’ T-Wolves at 10:30.  Karl has done exactly what we thought he’d do – everything.

Watch him dunk.

And watch him dish to Tayshaun.
