One of my favorite former Cats, Darius Miller is getting it done overseas in the German League Finals. His team, the Brose Baskets, who also won the 2015 Finals, defeated the Ratiopharm Ulm, 101-82 in Game 1.
Miller was 8-9 from behind the arch for a combined game-high of 26 points last night. The league has called him “Killer Miller” and “the Difference Maker” on their website and Twitter, and that he is. Throughout the season, Miller averaged 9.4 points and 2.8 assists per game, but has stepped it up during the playoffs, averaging 12.6 points and 2.6 assists per game. He’s also made 61.8% of his three-point attempts this post-season.
Miller and the Brose will play the Ulm again on Wednesday.
