One of Big Blue Nation’s all-time favorites will miss the remainder of his fourth season in the NBA.
Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will sit out the rest of 2015-16 with the torn labrum he suffered in a game last week. It is his second torn labrum in his right shoulder since the summer, and he will undergo yet another surgery on that arm.
The season-ending injury occurred only seven games after Kidd-Gilchrist returned from missing the first 46 games of the season with the first tear suffered in the preseason.
He averaged 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 31 minutes over the seven games he was able to play.
Heartbreaking news for one of the hardest workers and best all-around guys in the NBA.
