Keldon Johnson officially signs with the San Antonio Spurs

Former Kentucky forward Keldon Johnson has officially put pen to paper on his NBA rookie contract.

This afternoon, the San Antonio Spurs announced that Johnson was signed, sealed, and delivered.

The Spurs selected the 6-foot-6 small forward with the 29th pick in June’s 2019 NBA Draft.

Johnson will be a part of the Spurs Summer League roster in both Salt Lake City and Las Vegas over the next two weeks.

The former Wildcat will wear No. 3 for San Antonio.

Recognized as the SEC Freshman of the Year last year in his lone season at Kentucky, Johnson was also named to the All-SEC Second Team and SEC All-Freshman Team. The South Hill, Virginia product averaged 13.5 points, 5.9 boards and 1.6 assists in 30.7 minutes while playing in all 37 games, starting in 36.

Johnson will suit up for the first time this evening starting at 7:00 p.m. when the Spurs take on the Cavaliers on NBA TV.
