Keldon Johnson has yet another Impressive Performance at the NBA Summer League

After a two-point performance in his Spurs organization debut and some people calling him the next James Young (*cough* Drew), Keldon Johnson has responded with two stellar performances. A few nights ago Johnson went for 29 points. Sunday, he followed that performance up with a 19-point performance on 60% shooting in a victory over the Hornets in Las Vegas.

Johnson’s performance drew a lot of praise on Twitter from today’s performance, here are just a few highlights

It seems like Keldon has gotten more comfortable with the NBA since his initial arrival.

“It’s been nerve-wracking, there’s a lot of built-up emotion,” he said on ESPN after the game. “Now it’s the easy part. I’m here with my team. We’re just having fun, we’re sticking together, and we’re just coming to summer league to get some wins.”

If Keldon stays loose as he has in the last two games, he might just be a star in this league. Spurs Summer Leauge coach Becky Hammon even told Kyle Tucker that Johnson might be the steal of the draft after today’s performance.

And if you were wondering, yes, Coach Cal does still keep in touch with Keldon to tell him that he is proud of him.

He’s still got some ways to go, but Keldon Johnson has definitely stolen the show at the NBA’s Summer Leauge.
