Another day, another honor for an NBA Cat.
John Wall was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week after averaging 24.3 points (8th in the East), 13.0 assists (1st in the NBA), 5.3 rebounds and 2.67 steals (2nd in the East) from December 26-January 1. Wall shot 50 percent from the field and led the ‘Zards to a 3-0 record.
His best game was probably the time he flirted with triple-double against Milwaukee. He scored 36 points and grabbed 11 boards but was an assist away from completing the elusive feat. If only he used the “bounce pass between the legs assist” a game earlier. I’ve watched it a dozen times and still can’t believe it.

It’s Wall’s sixth career Player of the Week honor. This year he’s averaging a career-high 23.6 points and 10 assists per game.
Approximately two minutes after I posted this the NBA announced he is also the Conference’s Player of the Month in December. Next time I’ll use more patience.
