John Wall has had an excellent NBA season, but December might have been his best month of basketball since he came to the NBA. Today the NBA honored his play by awarding him Eastern Conference Player of the Month. His stats:
- 22.6 points per game
- 11.7 assists per game
- 4.8 rebounds per game
- 2.3 steals a game
- 13 double-doubles in 16 games
Wall’s best game came on the first of the month, scoring 35 points and dishing out 10 assists to give the Cleveland Cavaliers their first home loss of the season.
He was the 8th best scorer in the NBA during December, the most points he’s produced in a single month since he came to the NBA. He’s currently fifth in the NBA in steals, and second in assists 9.7 with per game. Last night’s loss to the Heat snapped an 8-game streak with at least 11 assists.
