John Wall Fried Rice is a thing

We’ve heard a lot about John Wall’s eccentric eating and drinking habits. Wall has to have two large hot chocolates with extra sugar from McDonalds every day, and will only eat hamburgers with just the meat and the bun. No condiments of any kind.

It turns out he also likes his shrimp fried rice plain too–no shrimp and no vegetables. Wall orders the fried rice from the Thai Chili inside the Verizon Center so often that they’ve dubbed the dish “John Wall fried rice” so that the cooks know exactly how to prepare it. From the Washington Post’s Dan Steinberg:

So what exactly is John Wall Fried Rice?

Shrimp fried rice with no tails and no vegetables,” someone at Thai Chili told me over the phone. “We know what he want, what he [doesn’t] want.”

Like, he wants zero vegetables. At all. I was told servers write that on the order slip for the kitchen “so they know exactly what they need.”

As a somewhat picky eater myself, more power to you, John Wall. You do you.

Having to tell them not to put tails in the rice is a thing? C’mon. Grow up already and eat the tails like everybody else. Smh.
