John Wall and the Wizards force a Game 6 in Washington

Don’t write the Washington Wizards off. Not yet.

The Wizards fought off elimination on the road in Game 5 in Indianapolis tonight with strong offensive performances from John Wall and Marcin Gortat. Wall scored 27 points on 11-of-20 shooting with five rebounds and five assists, while Gortat surprised everyone with a game-high 31 points and 16 rebounds.

The series now goes back to Washington for Game 6 on Thursday night. It should be a 3-2 lead for Washington but they find themselves hoping to force a Game 7 instead. Indiana is 2-0 in Washington in the series.

Let’s go Wizards.

Has an NBA team ever blown a 3-1 series lead? Honestly I think the Wizards can still win it. Pacers are disfunctional. Wizards are due to win a home game, then can you imaging the pressure on the Pacers at home in game 7. You loose that and your coach is getting fired and probably some players traded.
