One of Kentucky’s favorite Aussies is getting another chance in the big leagues. Isaac Humphries has signed a two-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers, an Australian professional men’s basketball team in the National Basketball League, according to a new report by ESPN. The 36ers – also known as the Sixers – are the only team in the league representing the state of South Australia and are based in the state’s capital of Adelaide.
Humphries’ deal contains an NBA-out clause for both years.

The 22-year-old former Wildcat is coming off his second season in the NBA’s G League, but his new contract with the Sixers isn’t his first time signing with the NBL rather than the NBA. He began his career overseas in 2018, when he won the league’s Rookie of the Year award with the Sydney Kings. Now, he’ll be playing under a new head coach, Connor Henry.
