Is the real T. Jones on the trading block?

Draft rumors are flying left and right in advance of tonight’s draft, and there’s one we might want to keep an eye on. ESPN’s Marc Stein is reporting that the Houston Rockets may try to trade Terrence Jones and their #18 draft pick as part of a plan to land free agents Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge.

The real T. Jones missed 49 games last season in large part to a nerve injury, but otherwise, has been a promising player for the Rockets, averaging close to twelve points and seven rebounds per game the last two seasons.

The best case scenario would be if Terrence ends up on his hometown team!

Btw – anyone on here going to the draft tonight? I live in Brooklyn and Barclays is just a 15 minute subway ride for me, so I got a ticket and I’m going. Let’s get a Go Big Blue chant going!

Promising when compared to whom? Anthony Davis? 12 points and 7 rebounds a game equates to more than “promising”. Particularly when Jones’ per 48 minute average becomes 21 points and 12 rebounds. Mind you this from the 18th pick overall. Sheesh! Tough crowd.
