Is Phoenix going after DeMarcus Cousins?

Well, here’s an interesting rumor to keep us entertained before tip time. According to Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro, the Suns and the Kings have discussed a trade that would send DeMarcus Cousins to Phoenix.

Discussions have reportedly centered around trading Cousins for small forward T.J. Warren, center Alex Len, Phoenix’s first-round pick this year and possibly more. The Suns own all of their future picks and also own two future Miami Heat first-round picks from the Goran Dragic deal. Sacramento needs an elite point guard, and there will be several in the 2017 Draft, including Markelle Fultz (Washington), Lonzo Ball (UCLA), and of course, De’Aaron Fox.

There are currently four former Cats on the Phoenix roster, but Gambadoro said Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker would not be in the deal. DeMarcus had reportedly been in talks with the Kings to sign a contract extension worth over $200 million, but this rumor is certainly interesting. Very interesting.

I can definitely see them doing a sign-and-trade for him. Sacramento needs to just rebuild, and PHX can be a solid team with Bledsoe, Booker, and Boogie all on the same team.
