Eric Bledsoe is out of surgery, hopes to return later this season

According to the Phoenix Suns, Eric Bledsoe’s surgery on his right knee to repair damaged meniscus cartilage was successful. The team released a statement saying that “Bledsoe will immediately begin a recovery and rehabilitation program and will pursue a possible return to action during the second half of this NBA season.”
Up until his injury on December 30th, Bledsoe was killing it in the league, averaging 18 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in his first season with the Suns. His 20.2 player efficiency rating (PER) ranks 8th among point guards in the NBA.
The news that Bledsoe can return to action this season is huge because he’s a free agent after this season, and prior to his injury, many believed he was worthy of a max contract. The Suns were prepared to match any offer that came his way.
Get well soon, Eric.
