Enes Kanter will be on The Daily Show tonight

Enes Kanter has been making the media rounds over the past few months to discuss his contentious relationship with the Turkish government and how they’re trying to arrest him for his criticism of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Tonight, Enes will be on the The Daily Show to talk with Trevor Noah about the situation, and his new run with the Portland Trail Blazers. He shared these pictures from the set earlier today:

Enes is a character, so you know this will be fun. Watch it tonight after the game at 11 p.m. ET on Comedy Central or set your DVR.

Noah will inevitably compare it to Trump somehow

Yeah, haven’t watched any of the late night talk shows or SNL in a while. I get enough Trump bashing on MSN and regular news.

Well, most of it is warranted. However, Noah does run it into the ground and bring it where it has no place. He’s not 1/100000000th of what Stewart was comedic wise, and nowhere near as smart. As far as the others go (except msn, I realize they’re as skewed to the left as fox is to the right) they literally make their living off satire and comedic relief. They’ve done it to every president ever, it just so happens we have one now that seemingly can’t be awake more than two minutes without giving them fuel for their fire. It’s even worse now that trump got his psyche hurt because they made fun of him. Imagine an America where our vets are homeless, our mothers and sisters and daughters are told what to do with their bodies, homelessness is rampant, and our kids have regular drills on what to do WHEN a gunman comes, and this turd spends his day golfing, tweeting, and being butthurt when people and media outlets don’t praise his decisions.

There are people dumb enough to still watch the daily show? I didn’t realize the depths that humanity has sunk to.

I know Enes was never allowed to play at Kentucky but he always says he’s proud to be a wildcat. It’s really unfortunate when your home country forces your parents to disown you and you’re not allowed to see your family.

That’s the Muslim world for you.

No, that’s just oppression based leadership. Nothing to do with their faith. Russia and China are also good examples of people being forced into things they don’t want, namely, death. Any time leadership thinks they’re too powerful, and believe they’re untouchable, this shlt happens. One of my best friends in the world was born and raised in a conservative part of Kentucky. He’s gay. His parents disowned him over some BS belief in a God too.

And lastly, I’m a proud Christian. I’m also a proud believer in acceptance, tolerance, and understanding of all peoples. The Middle East and Arab countries aren’t the only places in the world with predominantly Muslim faith. Hell, there’s a whole city in Minnesota made up of Muslims, and they’re doing just fine. Meanwhile, places like Westbrook Baptist exist, but they’re white, so I’m sure they’re cool right?

Oh ok. Yeah Islam encompasses much more than faith. It’s a political, economic, and legal system that enables totalitarians to subjugate the masses through means of theology. Of course communist red China is oppressive….but they aren’t the Middle East either.

Maybe research your last sentence there unbridled. Christians and other religious groups are killed in China daily.

Also, women are treated like dirt there and children are forced into all types of terrible situations. Putin has all but admitted to putting hits on his detractors, but he’s untouchable. Maybe quit confusing your own beliefs for reality. Instead of religiously following Fox News (or msn to be fair) research with world outlets and argue based on facts, not opinions. Christians are historically responsible for WAAAAAY more deaths and bad stuff than Muslims.

I’m quite familiar with the atrocities perpetrated by communist regimes. There is a loooooooong history of evil. That being said, you don’t excuse evil by pointing out other instances of evil. That’s a logical fallacy. The game is on. I’ll check back in with you later.

It’s halftime now, you also don’t cherry pick atrocities to generalize a group of people. Your “that’s the Muslim world for you” comment could easily have Muslim replaced with many words/and or religions. You could actually take “Muslim” out of it completely and say “that’s the world for you”. I seriously doubt you would’ve said something similar if Kanter was from an oppressive, but traditionally Christian or Jewish background. Same principle when people around here call black athletes with an attitude “thugs”, but white guys are called “chippy” or “tough”.
