Devin Booker to donate 2.5 Million Dollars to Phoenix Children’s Charities

(Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports)

Devin Booker was a fan favorite during his short time in Lexington and that has carried over to Phoenix where he is turning into one of the NBA’s best young stars.

Last night, Booker proved why he has a bright future after he pledged to donated $2.5 million over the next five years to children’s charities in the Phoenix area.

Booker says that he will develop what he will call “the Starting Five.” Every year, the board of directors will pick five charities to get $100,000 dollars for a total of half a million dollars per year.

Everything that I have ever heard about Booker as a person makes this not come as a surprise. His message on the topic on Twitter was even stronger though.

While Booker is on a struggling team in Phoenix, he is doing the right thing in trying to make the community around him better.

The Kentucky Basketball program made a similar message when they heard about the good deed by the former Cat.

Now the question is could this help sway Drew Franklin to making the pick of Phoenix as his NBA team? We will have to wait for a comment.
