Devin Booker’s chance to win his second 3-Point Contest at NBA All-Star Weekend in three years came short by a single shot on Saturday evening.

After leading the event with 27 points after the first round, Booker took on Buddy Hield of the Sacramento Kings and Davis Bertans of the Washington Wizards in the event finals, putting up an impressive 26 points.

After knocking out Bertans immediately, he only had one more player to beat in Hield.

Unfortunately, with 25 points going into his final shot, Hield came up in the clutch and knocked out the former Wildcat with the event-winning jumper.

Check out Hield’s final rack and Booker’s reaction to getting knocked out:

Here was Booker’s ridiculous first-round performance that left judges in awe:

Booker will look to respond with a victory on Sunday evening in the NBA All-Star Game, set to take place at 8:00 p.m. on TNT.
