Former Kentucky star DeMarcus Cousins has found a new home.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the 6-foot-11 center has agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

With this news, Cousins is now set to reunite with former UK superstar and New Orleans Pelicans teammate Anthony Davis in Los Angeles.

After forming one of the most formidable frontcourt duos in the NBA two seasons ago, Cousins was upset that the stars didn’t align for the two to continue playing together in New Orleans.

“I think about our pairing all the time,” he said in an interview with The Athletic’s Shams Charania. “Me and AD talk about it. It’s f–ked up. It could’ve been something great, something special, but other people had different things in mind. That’s out of our control, and you never know what’ll happen later on down the line.”

Now, Davis wanted to make sure they got that opportunity once again, as he reportedly helped convince Cousins to join him in Los Angeles instead of agreeing to a deal with the Miami Heat.

Next to Davis in New Orleans, Cousins was in the MVP conversation after averaging 25.2 points, 12.7 points, and 5.4 assists per contest in 48 games. Before Boogie’s devastating Achilles injury, Davis and Cousins averaged a combined 53 points, 24 rebounds, and 4.2 blocks per game.

Now, they’ll look to re-create that success as Lakers.

Rondo, AD and Boogie all together? Shoot, I might actually watch an NBA game for that.

Good move for big Cuz. He just needs to heal and work hard to get some weight off and get in the shape he was in a couple years ago. I’m not a LeBron fan, but I could be now..

I wonder if the treatment of Boogie by N.O. management was one of the reasons AD stuck it to them.

AD + a healthy Cuz + Rondo + Kuzma + LeBron = best starting five in NBA. Will be fun watching them compete for a championship.

Kuznetsova is a forward, so I would be surprised if he starts. I think the 5th slot goes to Danny Green
