DeMarcus Cousins is still recovering from viral meningitis, but that didn’t stop him from holding his annual Christmas shopping spree for under privileged children in the Sacramento area last night. For the third consecutive, year, Boogie took 100 kids on a shopping spree at WalMart, giving each a $215 gift card.

The children even presented Boogie with a “Get Well Soon” poster. Because of his recovery, he didn’t don the Santa suit as in years past, and he told News10/KXTV that he lost 10-15 pounds from the illness. Fortunately, he’s on the mend, and is expected to be back on Thursday for the Kings’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Late last night, the Kings fired head coach Mike Malone, news Boogie said he heard on Twitter.
Big guy, even bigger heart. To see a video and read more of Cousins’ comments, head over to News10.net.

Boogie may get an early Christmas gift, George Karl is being talked as the choice for new coach.
Ha, but he’s just another stuck up kentucky product who’s all for himself, right? Stuff like this leaves me to wonder how rival fanbases and even the national media can hate on our former players, when they continue to prove them wrong with good deeds time and time again.
The cool thing about Boogie is that he’s the same guy whether the cameras are there or not. That seems to be a consistent trait with Cal’s players. More often than not, they are genuinely good guys.
I findeth it very dusty here. Giveth me a moment….
Boogie hath a King sized heart. #puns #truth
