This sucks.

DeMarcus Cousins’ Tuesday morning MRI revealed the worst possible news. The NBA All-Star reportedly has a torn left quadricep.

There’s a small silver lining. Shams reports the injury will not require surgery. If it responds well after two weeks of rehab, he could potentially return in time for the NBA Finals.

Boogie’s bad news comes after playing in just one playoff game and some change with the Golden State Warriors. Signed to a one-year deal after suffering a torn Achilles, Cousins could be looking for a new home in free agency following another injury.

Godspeed to Cousins on his recovery.

Wow, looking at the pictures of his quad all bunched up, I cannot see how that would not require surgery.

Bad day, bad news. I feel for Big Cuz. First, the Achilles… a Quad. The timing is sinister. Could this be a life lesson in continuance for the young fella. For perseverance – or pivot? Only he knows. I like a good fighter.
