DeMarcus Cousins is not an All-Star, Anthony Davis is not an All-Star

He is among the NBA’s Top 10 scorers and Top 5 rebounders this season, but DeMarcus Cousins did not earn a spot on the Western Conference’s All-Star roster.
Anthony Davis was also snubbed, despite averaging a double-double and leading the league in blocks. Charles Barkley said he refused to vote for a player with one eyebrow.
More motivation for next year.

It is not an All-Star game; it is a beauty pageant for popular kids.
I love Wall and everything he did for UK, but Cuz and Davis should be in there before him. I just don’t see how you can keep both of them out. Can’t even make the reserve roster? Give me a break. And why is Kobe on the All-star team? I get that he is one of the best players ever but if he can’t play just name him and re place his starting position with someone who is healthy.
You are wrong. Wall is legit.
I know that he is, im just saying Davis and Cuz should have made it ahead of him. See the player efficiency chart in a few post above. I love Wall as much as any UK fan I just think in you have to put in one of the top 3 centers in the game in along with someone who averages 20pts 11rebs & 3.4blks.
Looks like our fine neighbors to the south are off to an awesome start against UC. 7 points in 11 minutes, god they look awful too. UC has some freakish looking munsters on their squad.
Davis was robbed, cuz is playing great but his team is awful. NO isn’t very good either, I thought they had the pieces to be pretty good this year but something is missing there. No way dirk should be there over Davis, cuz would be next imo.
Cal should show game tape of UC to our guys on how to play defense. They are grinding DaVille right into the court.
They need to take the voting out of the hands of the fans; let coaches and media decide. Selection is a joke–how in the world does kobe get in?? Has hardly been on the court.
Kobe wouldn’t be an all-star in my church league right now.
You need to learn how all-star games work. Fans vote on starters only, and that’s the way it should be.
Both guys deserve to be All-Stars. They will see their share of all-star games during their careers.
Definitely agree with that #6.
It’s tough to make the All-Star team, and there is no shame in not making it. The fact that Cousins and Davis are in major consideration is a great testament to their quality as players. Congrats to John Wall and even Cousins and Davis for being considered. The one pick I am amazed with is Chris Bosh from the Heat. He’s a decent player, but think about how effective guys would be if they could play with LeBron James? If Davis or Cousins played with him, their stats would go through the roof.
Except Bosh was already an all-star and had better numbers in Toronto.
DeMarcus Cousins just needs to keep doing what he does and never stop trying to improve. He will get his recognition in due time. The same goes for Davis. I’m proud of those guys.
This headline is a little premature. It’s already been announced that Kobe will not be playing in the All-Star game, meaning the Commissioner is going to have to replace him on the roster. Davis or Cousins seem to be in prime position to take that spot. If Chris Paul can’t go, they may both still be on the team.
I wish that were the case, but I think it will be the point guard in Phoenix not named Eric Bledsoe
Davis should get in for Kobe – the game is in New Orleans and they want reps from the host city. He is the most exciting young player in the league.
Relax, Davis will be on team and play in the game. lots change between teams announced and game played.
Hold the phone. Davis and cousins will still make the team. Chris Paul And kobe are hurt. The all star is just a popularity contest anyway, nothing to do with stats. Hence why dwight howard and kobe got voted in.
all star selection like Olympic figure skating, all about who has shiniest outfit
Hope KSR decides to push voting on this next year. Really think BBN could have made this happen if folks were reminded to vote every day. Sad for those guys.
That’s bullshit !! I don’t even watch the dumb allstar game anymore. It’s fixed about like the election is. There is too much importance placed and based on population. Maybe they should do something different. Have x players pick teams. Heck, make it real cool and pick 4 teams and have a tournament?!
These things are a popularity contest not usually based on reality, numbers or anything that matters.
It’s AllStar voting – aka majority being fanboys and/or kids. These same voters voted Allen Iverson as a starter after playing only 19 games a few years back.
Wall, Davis, Cousins, MKG, TJones etc will ALL be All Stars soon enough.
Boogie needs to stop acting like a huge bag o’ douche.ke Then maybe he’ll make the game.
First, does no one understand that only the starters are picked by the fans? It is a fan exhibition, so that’s the way it should be. Can’t believe Anthony Davis didn’t make it, surely he is the next in line if someone can’t play.
Sorry to say it but it’s the ripple of the Kentucky effect…no respect.
This a travesty.
Ridiculous!!!
Those two definitely deserved to be on the team, and it’s a shame they didn’t make it. The opposing coaches should be embarrassed. Make them pay fellas.
