Hate to spoil all of today’s fun but we have some news regarding our favorite NBA duo.
DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall will no longer be NBA teammates because Cousins and the Houston Rockets are parting ways, per multiple reports.
Shams Charania tweeted it will be finalized in the coming days as Houston wants to go smaller and younger with rising star Christian Wood.
The Houston Rockets and center DeMarcus Cousins are planning to part ways in coming days, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Houston wants to go smaller, younger in frontcourt when Christian Wood returns and this allows Cousins to find an opportunity elsewhere.

Cousins has proven he can still contribute this season and should get plenty of calls from around the league.
The Wall-Cousins NBA dream, however, is no more.

Back to the Lakers AD out a month+
They guaranteed his contact so they could release him? Something doesn’t add up there.
I thought the same thing
The GM addressed this. They decided to guarantee before release because of how professional and helpful he’s been. In my opinion, two reasons: they want to fix their image after all that went down with Harden, and maybe more likely….boogie cashed Harden out publicly and made him look bad, so they gave him the money for basically calling Harden a bltch publicly and making them look less awful.
Boogie doesn’t fit in well with what Houston wants to do, he’s not great enough or versatile enough. He will end up either in LA or back in golden state as both clubs have injuries at the position. The type of old school center he is is basically totally dead in the league now. Hate it for him.
Exactly what I thought as well.
Houston teams make bad decisions. Gezz.
Miami needs another big body who can shoot and pass. Perfect fit for the vet minimum. Plus their culture and conditioning program may do wonders for Big Cuz.
This is weird. The report guaranteeing the contract was just yesterday right?
Originization has had countless fumbles over the years, I’m not necessarily saying this ordeal with DMC is a big fumble (I hate it for him personally and love him)but just symptomatic of what has been going on there
Dude can’t catch a break.
Not sure if that is the case, really. He got healthy enough to show he can still play and now he will get paid the remainder of his contract no matter what. I think he has shown enough that some team will pick him up.
