De’Aaron Fox will also play in the Summer League

Add De’Aaron Fox to the growing list of Kentucky Wildcats participating in the NBA Summer League. Fox and former teammate Wenyen Gabriel will team up for the Sacramento Kings starting on Monday at the California Classic, the club announced this afternoon.

That brings the total of Cats in the Summer League to twelve:

  • Archie Goodwin, Portland Trail Blazers
  • Kyle Wiltjer, Portland Trail Blazers
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, LA Clippers
  • Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat
  • Derek Willis, New Orleans Pelicans
  • Kevin Knox, New York Knicks
  • Hamidou Diallo, OKC Thunder (starting date TBD)
  • De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings
  • Wenyen Gabriel, Sacramento Kings
  • Aaron Harrison, Washington Wizards
  • Malik Monk, Charlotte Hornets
  • Isaiah Briscoe, Orlando Magic

The California Classic also includes the Miami Heat, meaning that Bam Adebayo will take on Fox and Wenyen on Thursday, July 5. Both teams are also playing in the Vegas Summer League, which runs July 6-17.

For all of you stalkers, the NBA teams usually put their players up in the Vdara since it doesn’t have a casino directly downstairs. I happened to stay there one year during summer league and ran into an NBA player every time I got in an elevator.
