Dakari Johnson will begin his career in the D-League

dakari-thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced today that Dakari Johnson will play in the NBA D-League this upcoming season. The former Kentucky Wildcat will likely spend his entire rookie campaign with Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s minor affiliate.

OKC Blue moved to Oklahoma City from Tulsa last summer, so at least Johnson can stay close to the Thunder organization. Most D-League teams are located in other cities, away from their NBA affiliate.

Marquis Teague is also a member of OKC Blue.

No surprise, he’s got work to do before getting a real shot in the League.
