A former Cat is on the move. According to Shams Charania, Oklahoma City has traded Dakari Johnson to the Orlando Magic for Rodney Purvis.
Dakari has been with the Thunder since they drafted him in 2015 and earned a two-year deal last July. He appeared in 31 games last season, averaging 1.8 points and 1.1 rebounds. Last week in the Vegas Summer League, he averaged 13.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in three games.
With Nerlens Noel joining the Thunder earlier this month, the move isn’t too surprising. Orlando already has four centers on its roster, but at least we’ll get to see Dakari and Isaiah Briscoe on the same squad.
