Dakari Johnson Makes it Official with the Thunder

After playing on the G-League team, Dakari Johnson is officially part of the OKC Thunder as of today.

OKC liked it, so they put a contract on it.

The only people happier than OKC Vice president and GM Sam Presti? Dakari and his teammates.

I’m loving the “La Familia” love! Congrats Dakari!

Ridiculously proud of Dakari. So many of these guys leave and when it doesn’t fall their way, they disappear. Dakari knew what his end goal was. He left too early in my opinion but he did work! Congrats to the kid for making it!!!

I’m very proud of Dakari, but I would argue that it’s easier for a man of his size and skillset to make it in the league than it is for, say, a Doron Lamb. I know what you’re saying and you’re right- some of these kids just see those dollar signs and they aren’t really ready to put in the work that is necessary. I’m just saying that some players need to work harder to prove their worth than other players do. Again that’s not to take anything away from Dakari, but like they always say, you can’t teach size.

Actually, it’s “La Famiglia”. It’s Italian. the gli makes and lyi sound, like the lli in million.
