Cousins Can’t Stay Out of Foul Trouble for Team USA

The national story of the night for Team USA will be: how were they losing to Australia at halftime?  The story of tonight’s game for the Big Blue Nation is much simpler: why can’t they give DeMarcus Cousins a break?

After scoring 17 points in his Olympic opener, Cousins has battled more referees than opponents in the previous two games.  He could not contain his frustration any longer.

Just like the last game, he started strong in the second half, taking out that frustration on the rim.

The rim was abused again, but this time it took an extra effort to get two points.

Cousins finished his whistle-plagued game with 6 points and 8 rebounds.  Luckily, Carmelo was there to put the team on his back, dropping 31 points to give Team USA a 10-point win over the Aussies, 98-88.

in watching this basketball, it is hard to see what is called a foul an what is not. (this goes for all the players) they hold & push & trip; one is a foul & one is not, this goes on the entire game?????????

cousins fouls were no worse than the 1000 fouls that didn’t get called
