Check out this ranking of Coach Cal’s best NBA players

Our dear friend Aaron Torres over at FoxSports.com released a ranking of John Calipari’s former Wildcats who are currently in the National Basketball Association. And though he won’t admit it, I firmly believe this is Aaron’s indirect response to Colin Cowherd’s asinine comments about the ex-Cats “underwhelming” in the league.

In the rankings you’ll find Anthony Davis up first at No. 1 overall. Behind him, John Wall at No. 2. Behind him, Davis’ new teammate, DeMarcus Cousins. Then there’s the debate of Eric Bledsoe or Karl-Anthony Towns at No. 4, which went to Bledsoe in a close call here.

You’ll have to click here to check out the entire rankings to see where each Wildcat falls on the rest of the list.

The best part is it never gets old seeing all the Kentucky names in the league. The ranking is a great visual reminder of the Cats’ “underwhelming” NBA dominance.

I love the CATS in the nba and think they are playing great but i am underwhelmed at the NCAA titles they have brought to Kentucky. Not disappointed or upset about it, they have done much better than we would have without them just underwhelmed.

Just curious but how many titles should we have?

The one we have is nice, 2 would be ok. You know you think we should have won 2.

The 38-1 team certainly should have won the title as well as Wall/Cousin team. Should be at least 2 more titles…which by the way I would trade for the runner-up and 2 other FF appearances!

There was no weakness with the 38-1 other than they simple failed to execute the last minutes of that game (for whatever reasons). The Wall/Cousin team lack great outside shooting but still should have won the title.

You could go as far as saying the runner-up team, while jacking up a lot of loses should have beat a one-man show (Walker) but Wade pretty much beat them in 2003 or 2004…don’t recall off the top of my head what year that was.

Yeah i agree 3 should be the number with the players we had. One is good . Just ask the cards they last won over 20 years ago. 2013 coming down.

Yeah right 3. Pitino should have had at least 1 more too. Tubby maybe 1 or 2. Joe B. maybe 1 or 2. Rupp 3 or 4. Maybe Cal goes to New Orleans. Who do you want? Who is out there to bring us like 3 titles in 5 or 6 years?

I agree. 1 title with the talent we have is dissapointing. 1 title since 98 and Cal might not get another with 1 and dones unless there is a Unibrow walking out on the court

If not for Cal and one and done there wouldn’t haven been a Unibrow walking through the door here.
