BBNBA: Wall and Booker help struggling teams to wins

  • It is no question that the Wizards are struggling to start the year, gathering only one win through their first eight games. Last night, however, John Wall was able to lead to lead them to a double digit victory over Enes Kanter and the New York Knicks. Kevin Knox continued to sit out, rehabbing his ankle injury.
  • Different team, same story. The Suns are going to struggle for a while in the loaded Western Conference. Devin Booker was able to do just enough to beat out the now Andrew Harrison-less Memphis Grizzlies. Booker finishes with game highs in points and assists, and hit two big shots in the final minute to seal the victory. His jumper with less than 3 seconds left proved to be the difference.
  • As Jimmy Butler continues to be a diva in Minnesota, the Timberwolves are playing with an incomplete team and it isn’t working out well on the scoreboard. Karl-Anthony Towns may have been able to score 23, but the rest of the team only combined for another 58 as the Wolves lose by 30 to the Trail Blazers.
  • Eric Bledsoe is a part of one the budding teams trying to take over the throne left in the East when LeBron headed out to Los Angeles. Now sitting at 8-1, the Bucks are steamrolling through teams, including a 35 point win over the Kings last night.
  • Isaiah Briscoe received the dreaded DNP – Coach’s Decision in Orlando’s 117-110 win over the Spurs.
