Much like the past three games in the series, a second-half comeback from the Golden State Warriors gives them the win as now they are heading to the NBA Finals for the fifth time in the row. The last time that happened, Bill Russell was playing for the Boston Celtics (1957-1966).

The Portland Trail Blazers started scorching hot from the floor as it was not Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum doing the scoring, rather Meyers Leonard.

Meyers Leonard went for 25 points off of five threes in the first half which ultimately broke the game in Portlands favor in the first half.

During these playoffs, Portland found success when finding that third scoring threat. During the Denver series, it was Rodney Hood, Monday night it was Meyers Leonard. However, the trio of Lillard, McCollum, and Leonard were no match to the historic night the Warriors had on their end.

The Warriors tonight were down three key players with Cousins, Iguodala, and Durant all sidelined but that did not stop the fire night from Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. The two-time NBA MVP did not sit out a minute during the second half and overtime as he played a total of 47 minutes and posted a triple-double with 37 points, 11 assists, and 13 rebounds.

Curry was not the only Warrior who put up a triple-double tonight as forward Draymond Green went for his fourth triple-double, all on the road in the playoffs, with 18 points, 11 assists, and 14 rebounds and with this series closing three.

This is the first time in NBA history where a pair of teammates in the same game grabbed a triple-double.

Cats in Game Four

As DeMarcus Cousins is still out with an injury, Enes Kanter was the only former Cat on the court for the closing game of the Western Conference Finals.

On his 27th birthday, Kanter played a total of 13 minutes off the bench and ended up with 6 points on 3-4 shooting and grabbed 2 rebounds.

Here is what he had to say after the game.

Although not big numbers tonight due to the Leonard break out game, Kanter played his signature big man defense down low as he did all playoffs.

What a run for Enes Kanter and the Blazers and expect big things next year from both him and the team.

By the way, the Western Conference Champions gear looked excellent on Boogie.

The NBA Finals

As the Warriors grab the first spot in the Finals for 2019, they will have a nine-day rest in between the Western Conference Finals and NBA Finals.

No official word has been set on Cousins’ return just yet but that did not stop Draymond Green’s mom as she had something to say on the matter.

Stay tuned to KSR for more updates on DeMarcus Cousins as the Warriors are heading on to the NBA Finals.
